Travel Photography – Portland + Oregon Coast

Back in September, I took a trip out to the west coast with my good friend Betsega to explore some of the great northwest of our country. Before this trip, the furthest north on the west coast I had been was San Francisco, and for the last few years, the northwest has been high on my list of places to visit. Our plan was to fly into Portland, stay in the city a few days then rent a car and drive down the coast (stopping along the way, of course) and end in San Francisco. As we were researching for the trip, I got very excited and my expectations were set pretty high. But MAN OH MAN, Oregon did not disappoint. It was AHHH-mazing!! First off, Portland is one of the coolest U.S. cities I’ve ever visited (and trust me, I’ve been around). It was super easy to get around (with free transit in certain parts), interesting to look at, the people were so friendly and the food/coffee/beer was delicious! Second, the scenic drive down the coast was un-freakin’-believable! We had to stop about every 10 minutes so I could get out of the car and go nuts taking pictures. If you’ve ever thought about visiting Oregon, please go! Do it for me. And the coffee :)

Anyways, here are some of my favorite photos from our part of the trip when we were in Oregon. I’m gonna post another blog about the California part of our trip (which was equally amazing and gorgeous)!
