Music – Cameron James
Living in Nashville, I have become friends with a lot of musicians. I mean, this is music city after all. About a year ago, I was having a conversation with my friend Cameron. She has been singing and writing songs for years, but she was realizing that she wasn’t allowing her true voice and style to come out in her music. She told me stories of her grandmother and her generation and how she felt like she should have been born in another era. She had been experimenting with some of her songs, giving them a sound that was a throwback to 40s or 50s era, and she played me a rough demo and I got so excited for her! The song was beautiful and it seemed to fit Cameron perfectly. So fast forward almost a year and Cameron has recorded the songs and they are for sale on iTunes! I was thrilled when Cameron asked me to do photos for her. I love doing musician photo shoots where you get to think about hair, make-up, clothing, location and create images that say something about the music. Cameron has such a classic look about her and it was so much fun to create these 50s-pin-up girl style photos.
